Gregory Hofmann is a Massachusetts-born, New York City based actor, singer, musician, writer, and director.
Gregory began his artistic career as the lead singer in his high school rock band before discovering his passion for acting. Since then, Gregory has been involved in theatre, musical theatre, film acting, and rock bands all across the United States.
Throughout his life, Gregory has always had a passion for stories, primarily through connecting with and understanding the experiences of others. This passion led him to obtain a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling where he has focused on helping people work through internal and interpersonal conflicts.
Through his studies and his practice as a therapist, Gregory has furthered his understanding into human behavior and dynamics, all contributing to his ability to work well with other castmates, members of creative teams, and promoting critical engagement with a wide-variety of characters.
Some of Gregory’s recent theatrical credits include This is Our Youth (Dennis), Hystyria (Papa) for the New York Theatre Festival, Bakkhai (Kadmos), The Grown-Ups (Aidan), The Great Gatsby Parody Musical (Tom Buchanan), and Echo (Narcissus) which won Best Production and Best Director at the New York Theatre Festival. Gregory’s recent film credits include Violet! (Richard, NYU) and The Guitarist (Chris) which has been selected for the Nassau Film Festival and West Bengal Short Film Festival (India).
